	Panther, Arrow et al. All the titles are confirmed by signature or by Derek himself although he is adamant someone must have forged his name on 'Maggie Cassidy' as he says it is definitely not his! "The 'A' in the signature was an attempt by a very young artist to possibly sound, to appear older, perhaps even artistically competent and hopefully bathing in the reflected talents of those more sophisticated artists of the time. Did that 'A' work for me? The simple answer is that it is my middle name 'Arthur' One of my early artist hero's whose work appeared in all the magazines of the 40's and 50's was Petts and he signed his name K J PETTS. This was my influence, you can see why I did much the same with my signature. Those early signatures of mine were not at all sophisticated, my present signing is, hopefully more so" Kenneth John Petts Born London 17/09/07 Died 20/02/92
