While in Kent we visited several National Trust properties featuring impressive libraries of shelves and shelves of, probably unread, leather bound books. So it was very heartening to see this set of shelves in the corridor at Scotney Castle which included many PANs especially Christie and Heyer – and they looked as though they had been read!
